The Dialog

An element of the discussion will take place here.  This will be in operation by July 2008.

Calling code developers!  I'm looking for a discussion platform that will allow people to rank and/or endorse certain ideas or solutions in a manner that allows the ideas that more people endorse, to rise to the top.  Ideally there will be a way to modify ideas in a way that can be tracked and will notify the endorsers that the idea has been modified.  I don't know if there is a way to perhaps limit interaction to one per day so others have an opportunity to comment, so I'm not sure exactly how it would be implemented.  It would allow for some anonymity, or maybe not?  Well aware of how a small groups of well coordinated and well funded individuals can dominate discussion (and policy); this certain phenomena would also need to be taken into account.  This is a start, but can something like this be done?

Discussion is important in democracy!  In the meantime, carry on your own discussion with people around you. On the downloads page, there are discussion menus for the DVD, and if you really want to get busy, download pdfs of Supreme Court cases. You can also take action by hosting screenings, furthering your understanding, or joining (or forming) a group with a common cause, and always remember to have respectful (yet spirited!) dialog.
